Boarding your horse at Stonecrest Farm is pretty much
uneventful. If you like the hustle and bustle of a busy, lesson barn, or the competitive drive at
a fancy, show barn, we are not for you. If, on the other hand, you like to get away from the stresses of life, like
to have private time with your horse, like to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, than Stonecrest Farm is what
you are looking for. We are simple and low-key, and only accept a few boarders. We board only for adults
. . . kids find us too boring ;) Here's what we offer:
- Well-maintained
pastures with woven-wire fencing
- Separate pastures for mares
and geldings
- 12' x 12' stalls with floor mats
- Tackroom with heat and AC, individual tack boxes & saddle racks
- Bright outdoor lighting in riding area
- 50' roundpen, solid wall
- Washrack
- Large dry paddocks
- Pro
Elite horse feed (top of the line feed)
- Orchard/fescue hay, usually from our own fields
We believe in horses being horses, the way God intended, so they spend most of their time outside either at pasture
or in large paddocks. But, if the temperature is much below 60 and it is raining, they are in the stalls, or if there
are bad thunderstorms or tropical systems. We have a number of aged horses (one is 32 years old!) that shiver in a cold
or hard rain. We can't stand to see a horse shiver!
So, if you think we might be a good fit for you and your horse, give us a call and schedule a visit. 704-753-4297
