Mataalah "Perfection" April 10, 1987 - December 18, 2008
The Asil Mare
"To the degree that an Asil - highborn horse - possesses thy heart will she respond to thee.
She will humble thy enemies and honor thy friends. Willingly she will carry thee upon her back, but she will consent
to no humiliation. She is at once aware whether she carrieth a friend or enemy of God. The mare that lives by
Divine orders as a mute and obedient companion of man, has an insight into the mind of her master, whom she may even prefer
to her own kind." Mnahi
From Mataalah I stood beside your bed last night, My watch I came to keep. I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep. I neighed to you so softly, As you brushed
away a tear, "It's me, I haven't
left you, I’m well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was with you at my grave
today, You tend it with such care. I want to reassure you, That I’m not lying there. I walked with
you on to the house, You fumbled with your key, I pressed my head against you, Nickered gently and said, “It’s me.”

How sad you looked this
evening, As you sank into the chair. I tried so hard to let you know, That I was standing there. You sat there
very quietly, Then smiled... I think you knew,
In the stillness of the evening, That I was close to you.
|
 |
And when the time is right for
you To cross the brief divide, I’ll gallop up to meet you, And we’ll
enter side by side. I’ve so many things to show you, There’s so much for you to see. Be
patient, live your journey out... Then come home to be with me.

Mr. T (Mr. Two D Avenger)1977 - 2009
Our dear Mr. T, how we will miss you! Your
bright eyes and soft whinny greeted us each morning, And your grateful sigh and slobbery nuzzles closed each evening. You were a generous, charming and honest gentleman, Who gave wonderful horsey hugs and gentle horsey kisses. It was an honor and a blessing to have known you! _______________________________________________________________________

- January 1, 2011
Eyes that
looked into your soul, Warm, sweet breath on your cheek, Power veiled in a silken coat, A giving heart that was quick to love and quicker to forgive, A
mind seeking communication, An aura of peace and goodwill, A gentle and humble spirit, A
true gift from our loving God. This was our dear Yum Yum.
